High white blood and neutrophil - leukaemia?

Hi, 

Over the last 2 years or so I have been getting more and more blood spots (petechiae) since christmas they have doubled in numbers and I now have them all over my body so I went and saw the GP friday she said they are pretty normal but organised a blood test anyway. I was able to log online and view my test results and I have abnormally high white blood count and neutrophil, after a quick google I'm now convinced I have leukaemia. Doctors was closed today as bank holiday and I need to wait until 3pm tomorrow to call them. Could this be something else? Currently planning a wedding so this is not helping with my stress levels

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. Have you managed to speak to someone yesterday? 

    I hope you are feeling a little better by now - if you can, try to resist the urge to google before you speak to a doctor as this will only make you more anxious. 

    I can imagine that this is truly stressful for you, but try and focus on positive things like planning your wedding as you are waiting to find out more. 

    We're all keeping everything crossed for you.

    Hi Lucie,

    Thanks for the response - I got my blood results over the phone tuesday I also have low b12 and the Receptionist booked me in for a phone consultation yesterday I spent all day by my phone waiting for the doctors call and managed to miss it! Now have another phone consultation Wednesday so can't imagine they think it's anything too serious or hopefully they would have asked me to pop in. Definitely not googling anymore! I think it's human nature to go into panic mode.
