Hello everyone
I'm new to the forum and joined as I've found reading the posts really helpful.
I had a routine smear a few weeks ago, they couldn't do it because of bleeding. The nurse looked at cervix and called doctor in for a look and they referred me straight away for ultrasound and trans ultrasound.
This was done and the results were I had a large fibroid, the nurse then did an internal and said she'd felt a 'bubble in my cervix and I bled a little.
I was referred for a cervical biopsy, and hysteroscopy which I had done yesterday under General anaesthetic. Surgeon said he'd taken 2 large biopsys.
When I came round the surgeon visited to say my cervix was 'very unhealthy' and referred me for an emergency mri scan and mdt team.
I got home and saw in notes written ?carcinoma of cervix.
After his comments and seeing this I am petrified I have cancer, even though they haven't actually said it, and the mri is to see how much it has spread?
I have started a new job two weeks ago and have had two days off with this and will need more time for scans so worried about losing my dream job too!
I'm a wreck..sorry to moan but had to offload.
