Hi, I have had a persistent sore throat for 6 months and a bumpy tonsil with a white patch plus feels like there is a lump when I swallow. Doctor has referred me urgently for ent. But I've woken up this morning and my throat feels completely normal-typical. The tonsil is the same looks wise. My appointment is in a weeks time, i wonder if there will be any need to go now. The doctor didn't seem fussed about the tonsil just the sore throat. 

He also just said he was going to refer me to make sure all is ok then I got the letter with the cancer spiel at the bottom which has taken me a bit by surprise. Guess I just needed to come on here to get the stress out of my mind.
