I apologise for this being long. Hi everyone I’m Lucy and I’m 17 over a year ago I finished treatment for lymphoma, recovery has been tough but I feel like I’m over cancer and have moved on. Just over three week ago, my dad started with stomache problems, he wouldn’t eat much because he felt bloated, had trouble going to the toilet and overall painful belly and back, this started two days before we went on holiday. When we went on holiday he hid it from us, but during the night he’d wake up in agony and was sick, he had good and bad days. We came home on Easter Sunday and he was fine up until Thursday when it was the worst day he’s had. Me and my mum were shopping and he was at work, texting my mum he didn’t feel right, I insisted on taking him to the doctors but unfortunately didn’t make it back on time. We eventually got home and he was rolling around on his bed in absolute agony, screaming, almost biting himself with pain. Ambulance came and paramedics thought it could be appendicitis. When we got there he eventually got morphine after the pain worsening, I can’t explain how bad this pain was. He’s been admitted and he went for an x Ray that same night (Thursday) they were thinking that it’s an infection as apparently his gall bladder and pancreas are highly inflamed. On Friday he went for an urgent CT scan, and the results came back and they said there are two abnormalities/lesions, one on the liver and the other on the bowel. The thing is his symptoms match a perforated gall bladder, but sick vomit is a dark green/ black colour, and today he’s had a tube up his nose leading into the stomache to get all the waste out as he began violently vomiting, so they needed to get all the waste out of his body, it was green and black. Recently he has said he has mucus in his stools as well, a white mucus I believe. He’s having tests starting this week, another CT scan. But I can’t wait for these results, I need other people’s opinions, if I’ve been vague please ask because I may have missed things. His pain is lower stomache, lower back and slightly higher stomach. I need some peoples suggestions what this could be please. Thank you for reading.
