I have not been feeling well now for the best part of 4 months, I have been to my doctor 8 times during this period and also felt unwell enough to take myself to A&E on 3 separate occasions. I 1st got told I would be sent for and URGENT colonoscopy 2 months ago! On the last visit to my doctor just over 3 weeks ago with crippling stumoch pains my doctor sent me immediately to the surgical department at my nearest hospital, on examination and blood tests there, the doctor deemed not enough of an emergency to have the colonoscopy done immediately, but did say he would have the appointment put through as URGENT again and it would come through within 2 weeks. I am now 3 weeks down the line without any appointment through the door.
My symptoms over the past 4 months have gradually worsened and are as follows:
. I feel sick constantly
. I have regular bleeding out the back passage
. My bowel movement is irregular
. Weight loss
. Eating is uncomfortable and often get food stuck in my throat/chest
. I am beginning to feel tired more and more
I have been worried about what is going on with me for the whole time and don't feel like I am being taken seriously enough, I now feel imbarresed about going back to me doctor as I have been so many times saying the same things and have been made to feel like I'm wasting their time. I have no idea how to speed up this process as my health and potentially my life are completely in other people's hands and I am completely helpless!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am now almost giving up on myself!!
