Waiting for results too

Hi

I too am waiting for biopsy results after a routine breast screening showed two areas of concern.One “worrying” the other not so sure, according to the radiographers.

I am a breast cancer survivor of 28 years after first diagnosis at 29 years old, it’s also the same breast this time, different lump locations.

I am shocked, numb, sick at the thought of it.

I am hoping that they aren’t as worrying as he thought, but being realistic at the same time.

I too have told my teenage girls and husband and trying to have a normal life albeit it’s on hold until

we get the results back.

    Hi, in the same boat as you.  Mine was 23 years ago and I really had thought I had beaten it.  Found a lump in the same breast and in the area near to the scar, but the GP confirmed it was not scar tissue.  I think its back again.  My tests will be on Monday.  I go from ok to a quivvering wreck.  Tears the lot.  The thought of going through this all again is just so awful, in fact unbearable.  But drugs and treatment are so different then what we had all thoes years ago.  So if we do go down that path again, we can do it.  We know what to expect, what to do and with the much improved drugs and treatment, we can do it.  We are Cancer survivors and going to remain that way.

    I really hope your tests are negative on Monday.

    i know after all these years I really didn’t expect the shock  of a worrying lump.

    I am a fighter like yourself, and I still have the calendar from 1991/1992 with the dates of all the treatment to remind myself of what I went through then.

    Im resigned to the fact it’s not going to be good news, but as you say treatments are better and I’m really fit and healthy and not ready to throw in the towel yet

    Brilliant, I feel the same.  I am fit and healthy.  This just another group of wonky cells being a nuisance.  Will let you know how I get on with my appointment on Monday.  Its not till 6.40pm.  So have a feeling will be there a while
