How long does pain last

Hi all

I has a lumpectomy in my right breast Feb 20th.They had to go very deep as the suspect cells were right on my pectoral wall. It seems to have taken an age to heal and now, over two months later, I have a small area which is really tender to the touch and is causing me quite a bit of discomfort. I tried to get an appointment with a doctor but had to be content with a call back. The doctor...female...seemed very unsure of what to advise. I dont have a temperature or fever and no discharge so she just said everything seemed fine. My question is, is this normal...it feels as if I’ve been in pain and discomfort for over two months and its getting me down now? I am due to go back for a further biopsy in June which I suspect will result in another lumpectomy and, if my current experience is anything to go by, I’m absolutely dreading it.

thanks in advance
