Hi I am a 31year old mum of 3. Since last October my period cycles had changed and they were becoming a lot more frequently, it got to the point in December that it was just a constant flow. I went to the doctors and had a swab for any infections and a smear that I was due. Two weeks later I got a letter saying I had severe abnormal cin 3 cells and needed to go to the hospital for further checks. My hospital appointment came through really quickly but my head was all over the place with worry. The gynaecologist on the day talkEd through my signs and symptoms (severe back ache and constant flow) he said to me that my symptoms are not related to my abnormal cells and to go back to the doctors. I went through to the treatment room and he told me there and then that my cells were not cancerous once he looked at them, he did the LLETZ procedure and removed them all. Three weeks on I received my letter from the lab that they are all clear . I then went back to the doctors for my signs and symptoms, i told him that I have the implant pill so he said it could be this that’s causing it my symptoms but he’ll send me for a pelvic scan just in case. I went for the scan this week and they found a 4mm polyp in my womb, I received a msg from my doctor yesterday to book an appointment to discuss my scan results and this morning I’m off to the hospital to have my implant removed.. so it’s been a rollercoaster couple of months. The worst thing I did was google my signs and symptoms but when your worried I guess it’s the first thing you do. According to google I have cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and also my polyp may be cancerous My body feels like an achy 80yr old and can’t wait to get to the bottom of it and get back to normal.
