Bleeding after sex

Hello,

I am looking for some advice if possible.

On Sunday I experienced some heavy bleeding straight after sex. I have had the odd bit of light bleeding before which I was never too worried about as it was always gone after I had wiped it away. On sunday however there was a lot more and it was bright red in colour. I didn’t have any pain and even though it was very heavy I didn’t have any on my underwear afterwards, it was only if I wiped.

i am currently on the pill and took my last pill on Sunday morning therefore not sure if it could be linked to my period .

i had my last sweat test about 18 months ago and the results were that there were no changes detected. However after looking up the causes of heavy bleeding after sex I am worried that it would be something serious.

I’m a mum and my youngest is only 20 months old so I am worried Incase there is something wrong.

    Hi RW7

    I would recommend that you make an appointment with you go to get checked. Any unexplained bleeding should be investigated....it may be nothing serious, but you should put your mind at rest by checking, otherwise you will continue to worry. If the gp thinks it needs further investigation you would be referred to a gynaecologist for further examination/tests.

    Hi, did you visit your gp.

    I had spoting after sex, then a really strange bleed. I spoke to gp and she told me not to worry as cancer takes 10 years and if my last smear was ok. I should be fine?
