I recently had urine flow test due to urinating probs, and results of psa were 4.8 which is above average for prostate,  possibly indicating enlarged prostate or possible cancer cells.  Im 57 years of age and awaiting mri scan and possible biopsies.  Consultant says they will know more once tests are done but not to panic.  Unfortunately i am scared witless and have spent 5 days in my bed unable to go to work,  and head going at 100mph,  im a born coward lol.  I even have a holiday booked with my wife and will struggle to go due to panic and even struggling to think straight.  My late father had prostate cancer at 83 and this is another worrying factor.  Also the fact i have to wait 6 weeks for mri scan is terryifying me.  The consultant informed that the high psa of 4.8 can also be caused by benign enlarged prostate but unfortunately i am so negative and so scared.  Please can anyone help me deal with this,  many thanks.
