Welcome to the forum Leigh although I'm sorry to read what's troubling you.

I'm not sure if you're consulting Dr Google when you've been reading up on things but try to resist seeing him if you can as he seems to have a tendency of heightening people's anxiety and making their worries worse. 

Hopefully some of our members who have gone through this or have been in a similar situation will share their experiences with you soon but do have a chat with your team when you can as they'll be in the best position to answer your questions and hopefully put your mind at ease.
