Hi my 72 yr old Mum has lost almost a third of her bodyweight - 8.5 stone down to 6 stone over the last approx 2 years, but a lot of that is quite recent. (This is despite eating well.) In the last few months she has also had repeated chest infections as well as two falls. She has had many tests, including chest X-ray, endoscopy, CT scan, PET scan, colonoscopy. Originally I think they suspected a digestive tract cancer, but recently they've been talking about lung cancer. But she had a bronchoscopy 2 days ago and the clinician didn't take a biopsy, saying she thought the tissue looked healthy. Does this mean she hasn't got lung cancer? Could she have pancreatic or stomach or oesophageal cancer?
