Hi...so this morning I found a hard lymph node under my ear. It definitely hasn’t been there before. I visited gp and he said if it’s there in a week to go back and he’d refer me for ultrasound. My question is I have had a clear neck mri 3 weeks or so ago, is it possible that it could have missed cancer cells? Would it only have detected an abnormality if the lymph node was raised when I had the mri? I’m so confused and worried. I’m concerned that the doctors will think - well she’s already had a clear neck mri and not take me seriously for any further testing. But the lump has only appeared today, 3 weeks later.
