Normal pap but cin 3 detected

Hi woundering if anyone has had a similar experience .

i have been having major pains for the past few years where I actually pass out. It’s hard seeking emergency treatment when you live on your own. Régardless of the number of times I have been to my GP he always just done basic test ie, tummy examination, bloods and always said I am fine it’s just period pains although I have had 3 laparoscopy surgeries in the past the pain was a lot worse. One day my legs stopped working while I was out leaving me on the floor while people just walk past I am a sports therapist so I knew this wasn’t normal I felt Okish but literally like someone had stole my legs every time I tried to stand I’d fall like I had no bones to support me the sweat dripping off me. I have had problems with leg pains burning, pins and needles, weak Shakey muscles  every time the docs would try telling me I had sciatica ffs I wish he would listen to me properly again on another appointment he tried tellin me I had à glucose attack. I ended up getting bared from the Gp clinic because I felt like they wasn’t taking me serious. 6months of missing NHS ALL records my new GP was finally able to get some history and not treat me as these are all new symptoms. He ordered a FBC finding my kidney and liver function low they asked about my periods and any pain FINALLY he ordered a smear and ultrasound the smear the ultrasound picked up a cyst which is totally normal iv dealt with these before so I though right it must b wrapped round my tube again to be causing all this pain the but the bleeding inbetwen sex, 10day periods or sometime early or late by a week or 2 is all new the back pain or kindney pain the leg pain all this is new but been happening more n more and creeping up on me over the past few year. I’m am upto date with all smear iv never missed an appointment and always come back clear. On the smear I thought went well the nurse phoned me by the following morning and said iv made an appointment for you at the colposcopy clinic this appointment was 5days later I thought it was a bit fast the colposcopy lady told me there and then I would definitely be back in for surgery and further testing I’m not a worrier so I let time pass 3wks I started getting text for appointments to the colposcopy saying they needed to speak to me I rang and they would say anything my appointment was a few days away I attended they still didn’t tell me anything just the test aren’t matching with what they can see more biopsy’s  3weeks thèse came back as moderate changes they stil wasn’t happy and brought me back again for another set of biopsy’s these have now come back as severe changes and I am currently awaitng for my appointment which is next week. In the mean time my kidney function has dropped slightly more and I am also hyperthyroid. I am just woundering why my pap would be normal when it is clear something has been found and why would the biopsy results go from moderate to severe. I have a bunch of symptoms which I haven’t noted but wether they are related I don’t know I’m Trying not to think the worse I’ll cross that bridge when it comes.  O and they have gave me another ultrasound and my cyst has gone which is a first for me iv needed all the others removing.

  • Hi Ashley87,

Welcome to Cancer Chat, although I'm sorry to read about your experience so far - it sounds like you've been through a lot up to this point.

Unfortunately I'm unable to answer your medical question. If you'd like to talk anything through with our nurses prior to your next appointment, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040 (Mon-Fri, 9-5). It may be helpful to talk through concerns with them, although please note they can't diagnose or give a medical opinion.

You also mention you have other symptoms you haven't noted. It might be good to write down everything you're worried about, so you can ask your doctor when you next see them - to ensure you cover everything.

Aside from that, if anyone else has a similar experience then hopefully they will be along soon here.

In the meantime I want to wish you all the best.

    Ben
