Cervical cancer worry

I had a baby in January 18 from then I have numerous problems I have been getting pelvic pain on and off and have a slightly swollen leg more noticeable on the inner thigh I have had numerous doctors appointments which eventually referred me to a gynaecologist who did not want to examine me or do any further tests I was not happy with his attitude towards me or my problems everyone has said that they did not want to further it's because I was not getting abnormal bleeding but the last 2 days I have been getting a brown discharge I am 10 days past my period I just don't know what to do anymore I feel I can't go back to the doctors because I have been so many times about different things I never have mentioned my swollen leg to the doctor only the gynecologist just hoping that someone could give me some advice as I am beside myselfalso I have been getting a sore throat down one side for a few days and I feel a swollen gland in my neck slightly not sure if this would be relevant.

  • Hi jryder,

I'm sorry to read about your worries and the experiences you're having. I certainly can understand your worry and also the concern about revisiting the doctor. However, it is always best to take the advice of a medical professional in these situations. As you mention you didn't explain everything to your doctor - some of it was just to the gynaecologist - what you could do is make a list of your concerns, including information on when and where certain symptoms occurred, and then revisit your doctor and ensure you ask them about everything you're worried about.

If you'd like to speak to our nurses at any point, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040 (Mon-Fri, 9-5), to talk through concerns with them.

    I hope this helps.

    Wishing you all the best.

    Ben
