Worried am desperate no diagnosis

my daughter is 21 years old. For a year she has had extreme weight loss where she doesn’t look like the same person. She has no appetite eats small amounts odd occasion does eat a meal but like said not often. She is very tired breathless her muscles ache even when brushing her hair and a lot of dizzy spells her fingertips go blue. She hates the way she looks as she is so thin now. She has been diagnosed woth anemia recently and doctor said he would review in a month he called her she said she is worse and he just said I’ll see you in a month she was absolutely deistated as this has been over a year now and not getting anywhere. She had a endoscopy and all shown fine. I called the doctors last week and asked why they have not checked B12 and they booked a appointment for it. How long do we wait do we see her disappear in front of our eyes to get a diagnosis to why. He said stress the only reason she is stressed is because she looks so thin and everyone comments I’ve actually had someone say to me she looks like she is dying and in all honesty she actually looks very very ill. She said her body now reminds her of something she watched as a child a funny looking skeleton. It’s breaking our hearts all around her are confused to what is wrong. I’m at my wits end and so is my daughter as to what is wrong and tbh no one seems to care.

  • Hi there and thank you so much for the up date ... I'd be really angry too ... they need to hold their heads in shame ... most times the N H S  is amazing .. sometimes it's so bad and things like this happen .. once you get her sorted (fingers all crossed) I would go and get advice about putting in logical complaint ... that's your daughters life wer all worried for on here .. but wish all of us could march in to see that Dr... .

Please let us know how tests go .. wer all here supporting you and your daughter .. I was so lucky when my son was 14 and lost weight and lethargic and drinking gallons of water .. he lost a stone in just over a week .. and he was so thin any way .. took him to Drs.. they did bloods and asked me to take them strait to path lab in hospital .. by the time I got home my house phone (no mobiles then) to get him strait to hospital and admitted that day .. he was diabetic .. if they'd not acted so quick he wouldn't be here now ..

So I'm right there vertually with you .. now is the time not to take any more "stress" answers .. you've all got stress now , caused by incompetence... sorry but I get so angry when it's our babies ...

Sending you a vertual hug... now you take charge .. and hopefully with scan and hospital involved she'll be o.k .. like you said knowing the cause is better then knowing nothing .. once I got my son home I learned everything about diabetes .. and my son's 37 now and doing well ... thanks to my Drs...
