Discovered small round lump near right armpit

I’m aged 38 and have no family history of any type of cancer.  On Thursday, 04.04.19 I discovered a small round lump under my skin on right breast near armpit area.  This lump is hard and does not move.  The lump is the size of a small marble. I visited my GP on Saturday who made an urgent hospital referall for me.  I was told I should hear within two weeks.  For the last few months, I’ve been feeling extremely tired and not my usual self.  More recently I’m experiencing pain in the upper back area and my shoulder blades. Unsure if this is linked in any way? Feeling really scared and I’m convinced something is wrong.  Can’t help but feeling really down.  I’m a mum to three young children and am just so worried about what the results will reveal.

Has anybody had a similar lump and what was the outcome upon further tests??

  • Hi Thumbsup and welcome to community.

Finding a lump is always scary but you did the right thing by going to see your doctor about it.

Many of our ladies here on the forum have been in similar situations so hopefully some of them will pop by soon to offer their support and share their experiences with you but in the meantime I thought I'd share some information with you about what to expect at your breast clinic appointment.

Good luck with your referral Thumbsup. I hope it goes well and that the lump isn't any cause for concern.

    Kind regards,
