I hope u get ur appointment soon. No matter what people say u crnt help think the worse. I know exactly how that feels. I’m so exhausted As I ain’t sleeping well. Well iv had arm pain and pain in my armpit for about a yr and at Xmas I also had a burning sensation down side of the boob iv a lump in. I went to docs 3 times about this. They would t refer me. Said it was nerve damage. Said it wasn’t cancer. Put me on medication which I didn’t take. I did go for private physio which did seem to stop the pain then this lump appeared so that’s y I’m convinced it’s cancer and it’s spread. It’s such a awful situation to b in. I keep reading forums, asking people, reading what happens when u do have cancer and it ain’t helping me at all. Even tho there is such a high pesentage that it’s not cancer I crnt help but think it is. I feel as if the doctor had referred me at Xmas it would t be like it is. But honestly hunni try n stay positive. I know it’s hard but try. Xxx

Hi, So I’m just out of my appointment at the breast clinic. I have 3 new cysts! They said currently they will leave then be but if they get painful to come back and they’ll drain them.

So happy to hear this! I’ve paid to have a private ultrasound as the wait for my appointment feels like. Death sentence in its self! Just praying everything is okay X

i went for my private ultrasound and consultation this evening and they believe it’s just a fatty lump! I’m still going to attend my NHS appointment as they said it’s best practice to get a biopsy to be sure!

I was in your situation a few weeks ago. I found a lump in the lower inner right breast and went to see my doctor. He then referred me to the breast clinic and the two week wait was the worst ever. I almost drove myself insane. I found this group and it has been my life saver:-)

what I can advise you is,try and keep busy. If you have any hobbies,do them or even clean the house to keep you distracted. I found I was at my worst when I was on my own,when my daughter was in school so I kept busiest during those times. Also don’t google your symptoms! I killed my self off several times over thanks to google. It is not a doctor and neither are we! What I learnt is when I was worried,down or needed a chat and support-I came to this group,everyone here is so friendly and helpful :-)

I’m not sure if you’ll have a mammogram due to your age,but the ultrasound is painless and I didn’t find the mammogram that bad either. The biopsies weren’t as bad as I anticipated - and that’s coming from someone with a huge needle phobia! 

My lump was painless and hard. The consultant originally thought it was a Fibroadenoma but the biopsies have showed different- possibly a rare rumour called a fibromatosis. Both are benign but the latter is very rare. I go back this morning for more biopsies and to find out the next steps. So as you can see,painless hard lumps aren’t always breast cancer and a call back to the clinic doesn’t always mean cancer either.

So u had my appointment yesterday. They think iv got a Fibroadenoma. They took a biopsy so waiting for results. The doc was lovely and is sure that’s what iv got so been hopeful. Xx

That’s excellent news!!! They said exactly the same to me when i was diagnosed with the fibroadenoma. They took a biopsy but told me on the day they were certain it was a fibroadenoma. The biopsy confirmed this.

You have mentioned breast pain too. I have been getting this with my “new” lumps. They have suggested taking evening primrose oil supplements to ease this so i’m giving that a whirl. Apparently it improves the pain in approximately 40% of women so it may be worth you trying it too?

Anyway, so pleased for both you and Kirsty! Now go enjoy your weekends! The weather is lovely where I am so I will be (and maybe a cheeky glass of prosecco to celebrate )
