I am petrified, my husband has been monitored for the last 2 years for liver damage and we were advised he was at high risk of developing liver cancer. He went for a routine scan 9 months ago and we weren't called in for any results so believed he was fine until last month, the doctor called and said she needed to see him within the hour. My husband attended and she told him, between his live and Gall Bladder is a small pipe and it has a mass attached to it. She has referred him to a gastroenterologist at hospital and they booked him an appointment for May. I've tried to look in to the possibilities online and everything I read tells me this is 99.9% cancer but if this is the case why are they not providing an emergency appointment and why has the GP not mentioned the "C" word? Is this normal before a diagnosis? Did the GP mention a lump maybe cancer before it was confirmed?
