possible sarcoma..... I'm terrified, any advise?

hi everyone

so i saw my cancer specialist on tuesday who said he will send me for an mri and untrasound as he thinks the lump on my leg could be a sarcoma. i have since come home and looked online at what is actually is etc and last night stumbled accidently on death rates and people who live past the first year and 5+ years and now im terrified!

for those that have had it did it come back? if so how long after and if not how long since you had it?

thanks

  • Hello Tasha4eva10,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long  to get your  MRI and ultrasound appointment. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while you are waiting for these tests and important results.

I know it is really hard especially in light of what the cancer specialist told you on Tuesday but try not to worry too much or anticipate yet what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine. Do come back and let us know what you find out if you get a minute.

    Best wishes,
