I’ve been experiencing unrelenting agonising bone pain in my right leg for around 10 days. I went to the doctor last Saturday and she was unsure of the cause but thought it may be cellulitis and gave me antibiotics and Tramadol and arranged an X-ray. The pain is mostly in my shin and side of knee and travels up to my mid thigh. I also had a pin *** rash on the shin area and this was slightly swollen but the swelling has gone and rash remains. I cannot weight bear for longer than a couple of minutes as it excruciating and feels like I’m standing on a broken leg. The pain has been breaking though the Tramadol at times and I took a sleeping tablet last night to try and get some respite but the pain woke me at 1am. I go back to the doctor on Monday and am hoping X-ray results might be back today. Any thoughts much appreciated. I’m 62. I have experienced this pain about 18 months ago in my shins at night but then it would go when I got up and was very intermittent. It’s definitely not cellulitis!
