Epididymal cysts or Testicular cancer

Hi there.  About two weeks ago I found a small lump on one of my testicles about the size of a one penny coin.  I immediately saw my doctor and was referred for an ultrasound. I had the ultrasound yesterday and this morning my GP rang me immediately to tell me that he was referring me to a uroligist.  He said that if I had not recieved an appointment within 2 weeks I should contact him.  This evening (same day) I had a call from the local hospital uroligy department with an appointment for tommorow morning!  Whilst I am really impressed with the speed of this follow up it has scared me as it was so quick.  Do such referrals usually happen so quickly? Both doctors and radiologist have said that it is probably nothing to wory about but of course I am, maily because it has all happened so quickly.  Has anyone had similar experiences?

  • Hi Mike, and welcome to the forum.

It can seem scary when things happen quickly but try not to read too much in to this if you can. I know that's easier said than done but hopefully our members who have also had a quick turnaround with appointments will be able to reassure you and put your mind at ease about this soon.

I hope your urology appointment went well the other day and that they're able to confirm the doctors' and radiologist's thoughts.

    Kind regards,
