hello everyone
new member here. So little back story a little over 4 weeks ago I found a lump at the back of my knee, I made a doctors appointment which I had to wait 3 1/3 weeks for :/ I had that last Wednesday. The whole time I was waiting for the appointment I had googled and come up with it being a bakers cyct which I didn’t think any more about. During the wait time I was in quite a bit of pain and the lump had got slightly bigger.
I went to the gp last Wednesday and she said it defo isn’t a cyst and measured it, it’s 5cm! Causing quite a bit of pain and discomfort now. She sent me for blood tests and given me an emergency referral, I had a phone call regarding that on Friday to be seen this Thursday coming but I can’t make it. They were really insistent I need to be seen by the haematology department ASAP.
after googling who and what that department is I’m now terrified. Does this mean it’s something sinister.... google isn’t helping as it’s coming out with all sorts so not putting my mind at rest at all! Does that department just deal with cancers?
