So bit of background. Found a lump on my thyroid at the end of Jan and doctor had urgent referral to ENT for an appointment there. After that, they decided to have a scan and biopsy done and sent away for testing.
It's now been just over a month and I still have no letter (after being told iI' get one) but got a text this morning asking me to book an appointment for next Tues. I am possibly the most anxious ridden person on a good day, so when I seen this my stomach dropped ahaha.
On the phone the receptionist said something along the lines of,
"We have a cancellation on Tuesday, so the doctor asked me to see if you could take that one. it's not urgent, but the next available could be a wait till July."
Does the use of Not Urgent mean that it's not cancer? Or likely to not be? I've been worried for a few months now and trying to not hope on that use of words, but if it was would it not be a more urgent case?
Sorry for the hypothetical! Just scared and needing advice!
