25 and waiting for CA125 results

Hi

I'm hoping that someone might be able to help me with some info! I'm 25 and for the past few months i've been experiencing abdominal pain, bloating, peeing (constantly and needing to immediately) and groin pain on my left side. I went to my GP who reffered me to have an ultrasound and a number of blood tests, including CA125. My ultrasound came back with 'no action needed' on the report so i'm guessing nothing could be seen cyst/tumour wise on ny ovaries, but is it possible to have ovarian cancer without cysts?

So sorry for posting if its a silly question! But i've had my blood test today and i've suddenly got really really anxious about it and trying to find out from google if it's possible... (never a good idea).

Hopefully the tests come back clear, but i've had these symptoms for so long now i can't imagine getting completely clear, healthy results..

Thank you xx

  • Hello CT1290,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. It's good news your ultrasound came back with no action needed and I hope you won't have to wait too long for your blood test results. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these important results.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online so do stay away from Google if you can and ask your question about whether it is possible to have ovarian cancer without cysts to your doctor instead. I can imagine it is hard for you to resist the urge to look things up online at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
