Hi I posted earlier in the week, I was refered for blood tests, chest x ray and ultrasound  after showing my GP a swelling/lump on my neck. Got ultrasound next week. My blood tests came back okay was just my lipids slightly out of range. but I received my x ray results today and have to go back for another one tomorrow, the description on the request form says - noticed opacity Rt intercoastal space, to repeat on inspiration and expiration. Is anyone familiar with this? I am trying my best to steer clear of Google and not to worry but am going out of my mind with it at the moment! Thank you.

    I hope your X-ray went ok - do you know when you will get the results? 

    Unfortunately we are unable to help you with the diagnosis or interpretation of your report but I hope you will meet others here who have had a similar experience. 

    You are doing the right thing in steering well clear of Google as this will only make you worry more by bringing up the worst case scenarios. The best thing to do at the moment while waiting for these important results is to keep busy and distracted.

    Hi Thank you for your reply, my GP surgery received my x ray results yesterday afternoon but the doctor hasn't looked at them yet, the receptionist said they will phone me if needs be. I'm taking this as a good sign.

    I had my neck ultrasound yesterday when I asked,  the technician just said some lymph nodes are swollen on the left side and that I will get my results with in a week.

    Luckily i have a 2 year old daughter well into to the tantrum stage to keep me busy haha and am redecorating our house which is helping, I'm still finding it hard coping with the worry though, it's been 2 and a half weeks since my first visit to the GP but it feels like it's been months! 

    I do have a auto immune disease of the skin that's caused many health problems over the last few years so hopefully will be put down to that. Thanks again.
