PSA of 24 then 27 4 weeks later

Hi all,

I'm just recovering from a transperineal prostate biopsy yesterday. It's very nervewracking. Here's some history.

I turned 50 in October and I was in hospital just before Christmas for severe abdominal pain. I got treated with Metronidazole antibiotics to clear up any and all infections (a dry Xmas for me). By chance, the consultant ordered a PSA test for me. This came back at 24.

My GP gave me some prostate infection antibiotics in case it was prostatitis. A month of drugs later another PSA test. This one was 27.

A '14 day referral' later and a quick appointment (next day) to do a flow test and an MRI was ordered. This showed an abnormal area and, because if the location, a transperineal biopsy was required. This was done yesterday. Today I am in a bit of pain, weeing pink and worrying about the future.

It's going to be a long 2 weeks wait.

I just needed to write this down. Thanks for reading.
