Enlarged Lymph node in armpit

Hi I have an enlarged lympth node under arm. It’ seems to vary in size. I have been to doctor who waited 8 week to see if it would go away in its own but it hasn’t. I have been refered to the breath clinic and I’m absulutely terrified of what they will find. 

I’m so scared it could be breast cancer or cancer spread from somewhere else.  

Feeling so anxious and terrified. Any help or advice greatly appreciated!!

    Hello denbella, 

    I hope you won't have to wait too long for your appointment. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more about it all. 

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you. 

    Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Thanks for taking the time to reply, I’ve been given an appointment amd it’s in 5 weeks time. Worried how my manager in work will react as I’m meant to run a meeting that day!!
