Hi, sorry to hijack your post but looking for some reassurances myself. 

I have a 2cmx1.5cm in the right lobe of my thyroid. Is your lumps within your thyroid or is it on the outside next to your thyroid. What were your experiences after ultrasound and are your bloods normal? 

The ultrasound results said I had a hypoechoic and hypervascular well defined ‘suspicious’ lump. Just wondering if you had similar but were told it was benign.

I just got told they are on each side of my thyroid.  I can’t feel any lumps though. I have not seen the report , just know the first biopsy came back benign.

Ill see what happens today.

Ultrasound did not hurt and my bloods were normal.

How long were you waiting for your biopsy after ultrasound confirmed lumps? X

Hi All,

had 2nd of biopsies today. Stuck injections in about three times on each side which was not pleasant. Consultant said the lumps are within my thyroid and are not well defined.

He said the initial biopsies I had in dec were reassuring but then said there was an error (whatever that means) with the initial biopsies.

Playing the waiting game again (which I hate)

Anybody had an initial biopsie done that was normal and then malignant? and do you think they will remove them.

What worries me is that the results can be normal but still have a small chance they can be cancerous??

I have had 3 biopsies over 9 months and all have come back with different results. I've had a thy3a, benign and a thy3f so 2 weeks ago I had half my thyroid removed to get a more accurate result. 

I will get the results from that this afternoon.

Ouch sounds painful, I have mine on Tuesday. Waiting is horrible, I feel like my life is on hold and nothing can be enjoyed, not even tv or eating... which is normally my favourite thing to do haha. 

You mentioned ‘not well defined’ is this good or bad?
