  • Hi,

i am in a similar situation, I had a swollen lymph a while ago and now I have about four on the right side of my neck. I went to doctors and I’m under 2 week rule for ent and haematology (bloods) I had a chest x ray and all clear but it’s still worrying. Go to your GP if your worries and tell them it’s best to get checked than to not! Hope it’s all ok! X

  • I’m the same. I noticed a small raised “lump” it’s slowly got bigger. Been to the doctors twice as they done bloods, fine, all keep saying they’re not worried about it but I am. The raised area has got bigger and I have a cough now for about 3 weeks. So going back to the doctor Tuesday to ask to be referred for a scan. Go to the doctors if you’re worried x

  • Hello and thanks for your post

I was sorry to read that you are worried about your health. People often ask us about their symptoms and our usual advice is to get anything new checked out by your doctor to be on the safe side, and I see you are going to see your GP today.

Lymph nodes can enlarge after a viral and bacterial infection even when you feel well with no other symptoms. Sometimes they take a long time to go down again. You could explain to to your doctor about your current symptoms, they will assess you and decide if you need to go for any further tests. Although this can seem frightening, in most cases the symptoms will be caused by something else other than cancer. But it is always sensible to get any problems you have checked out just to be on the safe side.

I hope you know more about your situation soon.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
