Worried it's stage IV BC

Hello everyone. Im 36 and have been referred to the breast clinic by my GP. It started with a swallen lymph node on my collarbone. GP said its probably nothing and to come back in 4 weeks. I was checking the nodes on a regular basis and noticed some under my armpits. My breasts are lumpy which I put down to breastfeeding my 4 month old baby but now I think there is actually lumps in them. On the top of this I have back and hip pain. I'm just worried that when I go to the clinic on Tuesday it will it not only turn out I have cancer but also that it has spread further. I'm really worried as I have small children and they mean the world to me! Is there anyone who's been diagnosed with primary and secondary at the same time? Xx

  • Hi ya ...

Bless ya ... I know it seems really scary at the moment. .. but you've got a four month old ... and breast fed .. l got lots of lumps and they even went down my arm after my youngest son was born .. I had to bathe my rock hard , lumpy boobs with cold water then hot water ...

Your back ache could also be caused by the strain of carrying a baby and delivery ... my backs never been right since ... so yes there's a possibility it could be a cancer lump... but the odds really are on your side ... my first four call backs from mamorgrams were all clear ... and one of those lumps were huge , like a flat pebble ... and you know 8.5 out of ten lumps are benign ...

So yes feel a bit worried, but try to get it in perspective ... and you know there's lots of us breast lasses on here. . And it has come a long way ... so hold on till your tests come back ... keep busy as possible... don't Google as it's always worse case sinarios and then it's overwhelming. ..

Let us know how it goes ... fingers crossed for a good result. .. Chrissie xx
