Not sure what to expect

Hi

i was hoping someone would be able to give me a little advice.

I had my smear results back which said I had severe dyskaryosis. So had to go for Lettz treatment on Monday just gone.

I have  had this treatment before (6years ago) where a biopsy was also taken. I never had any problems after and the following smear test was all clear.

But this time when the doctor looked at my cervix she told me and showed me on the screen how the scar tissue from the last treatment had caused complications and she was unable to see all of my cervix as it had healed attached to my vagina and very close to my bowel so she wouldn’t be able to do my treatment there and then, and so I would have to be admitted to hospital have a general anaesthetic.

Has this happened to anyone else before and if so is it quite a straight forward surgery? I think I kind of lost my train of thought when the doctor was talking to me. I’m really concerned about it all. I do feel I’m kind of over reacting but it would be great to hear about anyone else’s similar experience.

Thank you
