Hiya..first of all well done to you for having your smear test done and so pleased for you that everything is normal too...it’s just so important.  also I’m replying to your message as I’ve had polyps removed twice and was put out for both..it doesn’t hurt at all..although they say to take pain killers after I didn’t need too as I wasn’t in any pain or discomfort..I was more worried about being put out I was in and out of theatre  within half hour..so it’s all very quick and was back home an hour later..I know how anxious you must be feeling as I was the same the first time it happened to me but please try and not worry..
