Rectal/Tailbone pressure plus changes in bowel movements.

Hi All,

Around 10 days ago I began with constipation and a feeling of fullness or pressure in the rectum/tailbone area.

After booking in at the doctors I was advised I had an anal fissure. I already knew this as had been advised of this previously. This was a small stinging cut around the anal opening. This has never caused such a dull ache higher up the rectum so I was a little frustrated at my symptoms being linked to this. I was prescribed cream for the fissure and laxatives for the constipation.

After laxatives I began to go to the toilet but not as I normally would do. It seemed I couldn't fully empty the bowels and the rectal/tailbone pressure was constantly there regardless of what I did.

After another doctors appointment I was sent for a blood test and a stool sample was requested. Bloods came back fine with high iron levels. I have to be checked again in 3 months regarding the elevated iron levels. Stool sample has just came back with no inflammatory markers so I assume this rules out IBS/IBD. I have an appointment to discuss this tomorrow with the doctor.

I have struggled with appetite and lost 6lbs in 6 days. I have also felt pretty fatigued but this may be due to lack of food.

My concern is that the rectal pressure is still here. It almost feels as if something has been inserted behind my tailbone and inflated.

Could anybody with similar symptoms or knowledge in this area please help with some advice?

My obvious concern is cancer. I am 31 years old and relatively healthy so this has came as a shock.

Thanks In advance!
