Awaiting results

Hi..... so two weeks ago I found a large lump in my left breast. Dr referred me to local hospital breast clinic and I’ve spent most of today there. Initial appt where Dr felt the lump and referred me for mamogram and scan. Then back to see him where he said the lump could not be seen on either and was confusing. He did a biopsy (well 4 actually!) all very painful and I have to return in a week for results. Anyone else had a clear mammogram where the biopsy then returned as BC? I’m beside myself

Hi there ...
It's a tad confusing, if they did 4 biopsy then surely they must have seen something as they wouldn't take a random biopsy. .. so can't understand that ... but then I'm not qualified ...
I've had 5 call backs from mamorgrams and had a biopsy on 3 .... two were just fatty tissue ... last one was positive ... so fingers crossed yours is just fibrous or fatty tissue too ...
Saying that , I'm 21 months post masectomy ... and it's not a walk in the park .... but it is doable ... and I'm here doing o.k ... and mine was a grade 3 ... so whichever way it goes ... your not alone. .. there's lots of us breast lasses on here ....

Thank you for your reply ..... the lump is large and the consultant felt it as did the Dr who did the ultrasound but not a single sign of it on the images ...... they did the biopsy’s as there is such a big lump that they can feel. I just wondered if anyone had had a clear mammogram then gone on to be diagnosed from a biopsy. I was elated when they said images were clear but the Dr is obviously concerned to go ahead with biopsy. Thank you for your positive message and you sound like you have had a long journey and have come out the other side. Xx
