Hi there, I’m new and wanted to share my experience in the hope that someone can offer me a little reassurance or advice as I’m sure my experience is not unique.
I have been experiencing menstrual bleeding since the middle of November and the only time this bleeding stopped was for 8 days at the beginning of February. I have had 2 very heavy episodes with clots during this time but the rest of the time it’s light.
In addition I have pelvic pain daily and it’s sometimes in my back and thigh.
My gp has given me trans anemic acid. 3 boxes later I’m still bleeding. I had a marena coil fitted no change.
My blood tests show normal hormones. No sign of menopause. My Ch-125 came back normal. A womb biopsy done in November was normal but an unltrasound done on Monday showed what the radiologist describes as (high suspicion of fibroids), a 2.4cm anc 3.3cm growth. There was no mention of these when I had a trans vaginal scan in November. Do fibroids grow that fast?
then I seen my gynaecologist on Tuesday and he said there is absolutely nothing on my scan. He basically lied to me and said in his opinion my pelvic pain is not gynae.
So I went back to my gp who was shocked the gynaecologist lied and had referred me for another trans vaginal scan at the end of April.
Ive been bleeding for pretty much 4 months and have pelvic pain. Should I just accept I have suddenly developed fibroids at 50? I’m worried. Than you
