Ultrasound for womb cancer

Hi everyone,

i was wondering whether a pelvic ultrasound would pick up issues within the womb?

I know womb womb cancer is usually in older females so was just wondering really and if anyone had any advice.

Ive tried to find other causes for my symptoms, but not pregnant, no STIs, not had sex in 7 months, not on the pill or any other hormonal therapies. I don’t have the pain associated with endometriosis or other symptoms relating to PCOS either.

I know the chances of this actually being cancer are slim due to my age (27)

im just really worried :/

  • Hello Cheshire_cat,

Thank you for posting. I see from your post that you are worried about some symptoms you have. The best thing to do is see your doctor, so hopefully the ultrasound can pick up anything out of the ordinary. When you are worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to look for answers online, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better.  And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor.

    I hope this is helpful,
