Well after numerous calls to my G.p surgery for my smear test result my life is now on hold

I first went for my smear in October 2018 but the practice nurse could not do it consequently I was sent to a sexual health clinic where a specialist tried.The result came back quickly(a week)there was still no result as not enough cells..I was put on H.R.T for 3 months and had to make another appointment for another smear at the sexual health clinic.This was 1 month ago - the specialist thinks she had enough cells and took 2 samples - it took an hour and was very uncomfortable.

I am still waiting for results !

Not only is there a worry something could be wrong I have been told i will need some further treatment for a prolapse bladder and possibly womb which my G.P wont consider until the smear results are back !

I had breast cancer in the past so not to happy about the H.R.T - and still may have to go to colposcopy to get another smear done

Needless to say I am fed up as it looks like quite some time before all this gets sorted out-  I  do have a fairly active life but am not getting any younger and cant sort some things out until this is all resolved !!

Dont understand why we are being encouraged to have our smears when clearly  'they' are not able to deal with what they have already
