hi,

i was diagnosed with a large complex cyst on my left ovary back in june, after mri, ct scans and my bloods being 24, i was then put on a waiting list for removal, MDT decided unlikely to be cancer given my blood and scan results combined with my age (33 at the time) and caused by endometriosis. I waited a total of 27 weeks for my operation, which was cancelled twice, it’s been an incredibly stressful time.

surgery was very complex and took longer than anticipated and I then suffered a big bleed and needed to go back in (cyst removal was via key hole, when I went back in they had to suture my left ovary and I was cut open to do so and stop the bleed).

my discharge notes say the cyst was very complex and larger than expected at 11cm and was multioculated.

im 3 weeks and 3 days post op now, recovery is so very slow. 

I was told to wait 2 weeks for histology results and I’m waiting for a follow up in 6 weeks but I havent received that either. 

When is appropriate to chase for these? Obviously I’m at home not doing a lot so it’s constantly on my mind.
