Hi all,

I am looking for a bit of advice regarding the results of my CT scan. Basically I had googled lots and lots regarding result times and have also been for tests and scans before and result waiting times have varied between 2-7 weeks though after my CT scan today the radiographer came out to me and asked if I had a follow up with my consultant, when I said no she said to expect a call in the next few days to get in ASAP.  I don’t know if I’m being unbelievably paranoid because I’ve been strung along for the last year and a half or whether I’m right in thinking she would’ve just sent me on my way and told me my results will be back in due time like every other test I’ve had.  

Sorry for the huge paragraph I’ve just been really worried for a while now and feel silly talking to friends and family about these fears. 

If anyone has any advice it’d be hugely appreciated.

    Hello Kadoherty97 and welcome to our forum, 

    I know it is really hard but try not to read too much into  what they said and what it might mean as there may so many different reasons for this. Hopefully you won't have to wait long now to get this call and to be seen and you will then get some definite answers. In the meantime, try and keep busy and distracted if you can and to focus your attention on other things if possible. 

    You've done the right thing to come and share your fears here. So many people here will understand how you are feeling at the moment. Don't feel shy though about talking to your friends and family too about this I am sure they will also be very supportive. We're all here for you if you need to chat. 

    Do come back and let us know what they've said when you get your appointment and the results of your CT scan.
