Hi everone

i had a breast exam at the GP last week as I had some discomfort in my left breast after my period had started. GP said she couldn’t see or feel anything except a little bit of lumpiness in the tissue in the upper part above the nipple. It has been tender in that area (it still is).  Due to my age (46) , she said she would send me for a screening. She said there were two paths, urgent and non urgent and that I would be non urgent but still within 2 weeks. When the letter arrived, it had urgent on which freaked me out. All I could think was that she wasn’t telling me something! 

I’m working myself up into a state because the area is still tender .... I think I may have some perimenopause symptoms and definitely had some stress at work.  I have to stop looking at Dr Google too as it’s realky not helping

Any words of reassurance and or advice would really help.
