Supraclavicular lymphadenopathy

I have Lupus, my rheumatologist sent me for a chest CT as I have been getting chest pain. I now need to go for needle aspiration and am worried about Lymphoma.

  • Hi SP77, I think your doctor doing all the right things especially with you having lupus. I have MCTD and they told me there is a higher risk of lymphoma especially with lupus and Sjogrens. Where are they doing your biopsy? mine was in my neck and after ct scan they found I had enlarged nodes at each side of my lungs and under my arm. If your Rheumy doc is concerned she will refer you to haematology. I’ve been on a merry go round with my Rheumy doc, she just refers me to different docs all the time, try not to worry, easier said than done though. The only way to diagnose lymphoma is with a biopsy, fingers crossed it is not that. Take care x

  • They are doing biopsies in my neck and armpit. I know there is a higher risk with Lupus and taking methotrexate. Trying to stay positive but it seems to be one thing after another! Thanks for the reply xx
