Thank you for sharing

Hello everyone, just wanted to say I’ve found this site very comforting.

I’m 35 years old, fit healthy and have I’ve recently been diagnosed with a 10cm complex ovarian cyst with a slightly smaller sister hanging off the side. I’ve had enormous trouble getting my doctor to take my symptoms seriously and for the last year have been backwards and forwards to them complaining of bloating, constipation and stomach cramp issues, walking away with treatment for the symptoms but no investigation into the cause.

Finally when I complained that I thought I had a hernia or a blockage because I could feel (and see) my bowel movements across my stomach, a doctor had the good sense to send me for an ultrasound. I was gobsmacked with the result.

When I spoke to the doctor following the ultrasound I was told I would need to wait up to two months for a gynochologist appointment. I ended up paying to see one privately. The private doctor was very reactive and immediately sent me for bloods, which I had today (exactly one month from my ultrasound).

Im currently now in limbo land waiting for my CA125 and it is agony. I keep thinking the worse. It Is very comforting to know that others have been through this and have had similar feelings. I often feel like I’m over reacting, so thank you for sharing your stories.

  • Hi there and welcome to our little chat room ...

Don't worry, your not over reacting .. we've all been there .. the waiting is the worse part .. but fingers crossed for a good result .. and if there is anything, you'll find a lot of support on here ...
