Scared

Hi guys so i'm new here it maybe nothing but I am petrified I have a inverted nipple with discharge and lots of pain the pain and discharge has only been there this last week but the inverted nipple I have had it like that for about 6 months I went to the docs couldnt find any lumps but has made a urgent referral to the breast clinic should I be worried

  • Hi there ...

Most Drs send us on a two week refural ... that's the norm .. 8.5 out of 10 lumps are benign... I had 4 call backs from mamorgrams... they were all clear. . So try to keep busy as the wait is scary .. and your brain will be thinking all sorts ... I know so did l ..

There's lots of us breast lasses on here ... and l had a masectomy July 2017 ... but I'm still here and I had a grade 3 on my 5th call back... but fingers crossed for a good result .. let us know how it goes ...

Sending you a vertual hug... Chrissie x

  • Hey!

It's natural to feel scared but I'm hoping this might reassure you a teeny bit....

My daughter (19) went through something similar last year. Very uncomfortable breast issues. Pain, swelling, discharge (a lot of water type fluid. She'd wake up with her t shirt wet and some leaking into her bedding). Her nipple also became inverted.

Anyway she had eczema which had caused the skin to crack and her nipple had become infected. She was also referred to the breast clinic as they found a lump while she was in hospital but it was all fine and nothing to worry about. My daughter did have complications but that was because we were fobbed off by the GP for a good while so keep an eye on yourself and if you start feeling hot and clammy or have motley skin or just don't feel at all well in yourself then I'd go straight back to the GP to be checked over but all sorts of things can happen to our bodies and the breast clinic is for all sorts of things related to that area, not just cancer so please try not to worry. I know it's hard but try to relax and look after yourself. You can always chat here, there are lots of lovely people who will help you through this. Take care. Xxxxxx
