It is perfectly normal to take numerous biopsies from different sites during an endoscopy, if it’s of any comfort to you I was called to return to the hospital within a few days when mine came back positive. 

Just ensure that you are having follow up endoscopies to check the ulcer is healing and behaving how it should.

I agree with [@Mikeswife]‍ I had this procedure years ago because I was suffering a lot of sickness, this was back in my twenties mind you. It was a very unpleasant experience too so I feel for you just having the endoscopy let alone now waiting for the results. 

In my case they were testing for lots of different things as they had no clue what was wrong with me so took quite a few biopsies so I think this is normal but waiting for any kind of test result is worrying and the worry won't go until you know for sure however, so many things can happen with our bodies, it never necessarily means cancer. All of my biopsies came back fine and there's a good chance yours will too. It's really good when you're stressed out to make an extra effort to look after yourself and have a bit of  a pamper. Breathe! Deep breaths in and slowly breathe back out. It helps to calm you down if you feel that you're getting a bit anxious. A long soak in the bath, even moisturising your skin, try to eat well too and sleep!

My mum has had similar symptoms and had an endoscopy. They took several biopsies but the results received on the day were pretty unremarkable apart from a small hiatus hernia.

She booked to go back to the GP as she still has symptoms but a couple of days ago was called for a CT scan tomorrow. We weren't expecting it and don't know who made the referral. Would it be normal for endoscopy to refer for CT for further testing even if they don't see anything?
