recall after mammogram

Hi I've been called in for a 2nd screening after having a mammogram.  I am worried.  I have been having really bad itching behind my nipple and rib pains.  I am not sure if this is why I have been recalled or if they have seen something on the mammogram. I am wondering if anyone else had the same symptons and what their outcome was.  I am trying not to worry about it and keeping myself busy, but night times are the worse when it comes back to me and all sorts of things going through my head.  I am sure I am worrying over nothing.  My appointment is tomorrow so hopefully my mind will be put at rest and I will be able to get a good nights sleep.

    Hi sorry this a late reply, I have been busy babysitting....

    I didn't have the same symptoms but definitely the same worry! You will feel nervous tomorrow but so much better when you know what's what. Trying to sleep is the worst as your brain won't turn off.

    Hi Bmk,

    Welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear that you have been recalled after having your mammogram. This happened to me several years ago. Fortunately when I had my recall appointment, it was clear and there was nothing to worry about. Sometimes the recall is just because the mammogram is not as clear as it should be.

    I shall be thinking of you tomorrow and, hope that all goes well for you.

    Hi, thanks for your replies and thoughts.  I had my appointment and had an ultrasound nothing obvious showing.  But I am being referred to a breast specialist as one of my nipples has bled twice, so they want to look into it a bit more.  I am not so worried now as nothing showing.  I am seeing the specialist on Tuesday next week.
