Last April I had my smear and the results came back in July advising me I had abnormal cell which were CIN3. I had a LETTZ to remove the cells and was told to have another smear 6 months later. I got my smear results and it says the abnormal cells are gone but now I have a HPV infection so need to have another colposcopy to check what’s going on but they can’t get me an appointment until the end of March. 

Is it normal for a CIN3 removal to turn into a HPV infection? 

Also how will they treat a HPV infection?
