I've got a flexible Sigmoidoscopy on Friday, been told I can choose if I want the sedation. Anyone had it without? How bearable is it?? Would make life a lot easier afterwards (childcare etc)
It is not a comfortable procedure but I think that you will be fine without sedation. You could ask to have gas & air handy just in case it gets a bit painful.
