Could it be lymphoma? Worried?

I found a lump at the back of my neck in the hairline about two weeks ago. It was painful, hard and was not moveable. Over the next few days I found another two, one behind my left ear and one behind my right ear. They continued to get larger and were both painful. I then found two on the left side of my neck and one on the right side of my neck. I went to the doctor, and after examining them she looked worried as I have no other symptoms. She took my blood and they came back as normal meaning an infection was not the cause of my lymph nodes swelling. Before I found the lumps around my neck, I was experiencing pain that went from the nape of my neck and up along my skull. The past few days this pain has subsided and my lymph nodes are hurting less but are still getting bigger. Does anybody have any idea as to what could be wrong with me? Sorry this was so long.

  • Hello Sydneye,

Welcome to our forum. I can appreciate that it must be worrying for you.  Unfortunately, we cannot help you get a diagnosis.  Only a doctor can diagnose you and it's great you have seen someone recently who is taking the issue seriously and carrying out all the necessary tests.  If you feel like you need to get a second opinion you can find out more about this here.

I hope you will meet others here who have been through a similar experience and that you get some answers soon and find the reassurance you need.

    Best wishes,
