Hello kitten31; welcome to the forum.  You have not given a lot of information so perhaps you could rewind a bit?  How did you start to worry about your breasts?  I am assuming that you went to see your GP and that s/he has sent you on to the hospital for a scan?  Try not to panic (yes I know, easier said than done) as most referrals to breast clinics turn out to not be cancerous.  I imagine that the people who work in the clinic have a lot of experience which leads them to make guesses based on that experience - not sure if educated guesses are helpful but they may have just been trying to reassure you.  If the hospital has told you it will be a three-week wait for the results then I would say that this is the time it takes them though I realise it seems a very long time for you to wait in your worried state.   I am just saying "hello" and welcome because you are probably worrying about waiting for a response here.  As this response will put your post back to near the top of the list I am also hoping that others who have been in your position will come and chat with you also.  Annie
